As many of you saw in the Sunday bulletin this past week and as you can see on our Upcoming Events link, Marianne and I are planning an overnight retreat for grades 8-12 on Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9, 2008. We are calling it New Life 2008 and will be focusing on the new life we are offered through the death and resurrection of Jesus and all that comes with accepting that new life. The retreat will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening and will run till 10:30 am on Sunday morning (your parents can pick you up right after 9:30 Mass). The retreat will include a guest speaker (a good friend of mine who is a very dynamic speaker- I’m sure you’ll love him), small group discussions, icebreakers, prayer, confessions, midnight Mass and, of course, food, fun, games (and for my sake, some sleep). We are really excited about what we have planned, so please tell everyone about it and don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know if you plan to come! Deadline to sign up is Sunday, March 2.
