On Saturday, April 16th, the Reds will be playing the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:10 in the first Reds Faith Day game of the year. We will be leaving OLV at 12:15 pm in order to make it to the stadium and find a parking spot in time to make it to our seats for the first pitch!
We will stick around after the game for a special FREE concert by award winning Christian music artist, Jeremy Camp! He has been in the Christian music market since 2005 and already has 17 #1 hits including ”Walk by Faith” (written after the death of his young wife), and “Jesus Saves“!
In order to cover the cost of both tickets and parking, the cost of the outing is $18* per person. We will return after the concert.
If you are intersted in attending, please call Wayne and Marianne Topp (info can be found on the flyer below) or leave a comment on this post. You can also send an email to mwtopp(at)gmail(dot)com. Don’t forget to print off and have a parent sign the Reds Faith Day Liability Form!

We’ve got some really exciting stuff planned for you in the very near future and I hope you can all make it!
First, next Thursday, March 17th (a week from today), is a St. Patrick’s Day Party at St. Dominic Church. The party begins at 7:00 and ends around 8:30. We’ll have snacks and drinks. You provide the people to share it with! The event is open to all teens in grades 7-12 and all participants must have the 2011 Permission and Medical Release Form for Meetings filled out and signed by a parent.
Secondly, on Sunday, April 3rd is a great outing called Rosaries and Rock Climbing. We’ll begin in the youth room at Our Lady of Victory and Marianne and I will teach you how to make a single decade rosary out of nylon chord. After each person has had a chance to make theirs, we will head to Rock Quest Climbing Center in TriCounty to work with some more ropes. At the end we will take a break for drinks and snacks and head back home. The whole day runs from 1:00 to 8:00 pm and promises to be a great time!
This event requires two permission slips:
- The Archdiocesan Permission Slip for the full event, and
- The Rock Quest Waiver (on the liability form: information should be about the climber (including climber’s initials)and signed by the climber in addition to the parent; on the code of conduct form: climber should intial on all lines and sign)
