Tomorrow marks the last Youth Ministry event of 2010 and we have a whole year ahead of us just waiting to be filled with meetings, events, fundraisers, service projects and growth in faith and in numbers! We are excited about what is in store for us and we hope that we will be able to better help the youth of our parish and community become more fully engaged in the Catholic faith and be willing to live that out in their daily lives.

For those who can make it, I hope to see you tomorrow. For those who can’t, may you keep the joy of Christ’s presence in your heart during this season of Christmas and may God bless and keep you throughout this new year!

On December 29th, at 5:00 we will be meeting at the Our Lady of Victory parking lot and carpooling to Fountain Square where we plan to spend about an hour ice skating. From there we will travel back to the Youth Room at OLV for some hot chocolate, pizza, snacks and the chance to make some blankets to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. The whole night should be finished by 9-9:30 at night.

To help us help more people, all those who cannot join us on the night of the 29th are asked to make, purchase, or find gently used in your house a couple blankets to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. You can drop off your blankets at the parish office any day before January 30th. We will then take all the blankets to SVdP on the 30th to help make this season a little warmer.

For those who can come, please be sure to fill out this Ice Skating Permission Slip and Release Form and have it signed by your parent or guardian. You won’t be able to come skating without it.

Cost of the trip is $10 to cover the skating and pizza.
